Will He Walk the Talk?
President Barack Obama gets it.
“We need to confront the crisis in the housing sector that has been one of the sources of our economic challenges,” he said.

Question is one of priorities. Everything can’t be equally important even though everything seems to have problems. Knowing whether and when to administer a pain killer or trying to get to the cause of all the symptoms is the challenge the President and his vaunted team of henchmen face.
Understanding that housing, in general, is in crisis is not enough. It’s about getting which levers will trigger the desired consequences. Causing the potential home buyer to gain confidence that now or soon is the time to buy will only come with a hybrid of economics and leadership alchemy.
A tax credit for home buyers should find its way back into a high level agenda before too much more time goes by and too much more damage takes place to household wealth and asset value.
