Going Up? Jobs are the Story of 2009
Here’s a snippet from one of our favorite economics beacons.
The four week moving average is at 582,250, the highest since 1982.
Continued claims are now at 4.79 million – another new record – just above the previous all time peak of 4.71 million in 1982.
Take heart. More and more economists are looking at the index of leading economic indicators, and they’re starting to see minuscule turns and improvements. Q4 and we can start getting the stories ready for our grandchildren about why we’re saving the soap slivers.
